The "Sulzberger See" or "Öschlesee", as it is called by the locals, lies at an altitude of 706 m above sea level in the municipality of Sulzberg.
Around the 36 ha large and maximum 14.70 m deep lake there is a 130 ha large landscape conservation area. With its unspoilt shores, it offers nature lovers a tranquil bathing experience.
The lido on the northern shore offers changing facilities, secure children's water zones, boat hire and a kiosk. A footpath leads from the nearby campsite directly to the lake.
A walk around the lake (approx. 3 km) is worthwhile, during which you can enjoy the varied flora and fauna of the landscape conservation area. On cold winter days, the frozen lake offers a special treat to skaters, who draw wide circles on the ice glistening in the sun with their skates. And that in front of a mountain backdrop like from a picture book!
