Destination – a component in the digital holistic solution for destinations

Destinations, accommodations, gastronomy, mountain railways – many parties are involved when it comes to the tourism of a region. To make sure that the digital destination management remains as simple as possible, Outdooractive has come up with a digital holistic solution. The Destination Suite consists of many different components – one of them is the Destination Website which is presented within this showcase.

From the planning of touristic projects via the development of database solutions and map-based tools as well as content marketing – we consequently worked on a holistic solution for the digital destination management. The solution can be roughly devided into the following components:

The Destination Website is an independent channel of the central Outdooractive platform technology. The flexible, web-based frontend offers guests access to high-quality and emotional content.

You determine which contents and modules your page should have – as well as the visual appearance. Thanks to the central development of the software, your site will always be state of the art.


How does the Destination Website work?

We built the "framework" of the website according to your Corporate Identity. You decide and control everything else yourself.

All elements are variable and can be maintained by the partner himself at any time via the DMS. Using a simple modular system, all contents of the Outdooractive database (e.g. tours, events, POI, 3D videos, stories) can be selected and integrated into various design elements. Also own contents like pictures or advertisement for the guest card can be inserted.


How does the Destination Website work?

No more relaunch

The out-of-the-box-product underlies the SaaS-principle (software-as-a-service). The annual license includes further software development, backups, hosting, support and the Outdooractive cartography. This way, the Destination Web remains up-to-date and compatible for future developments in the long-term – without a relaunch. 

Chatbot and user questions: Consult your guests 24/7

The help-button in the bottom right-hand corner hides a customizable chatbot. It can answer detailed questions on the basis of the content database and give tips for tours or activities. The digital assistant learns more with every conversation. In case the chatbot can not answer a question, there is also the possibility to send direct messages and questions via the contact form to the tourist info.
